About Lisa

I’m Lisa D'Antonio, owner of Oak Tree Counseling Center and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C).  I have been practicing therapy since 2011 and plan to continue my career for many more years as I have found this to be immensely rewarding. I love to meet with new clients and empower them to accomplish goals that are important to them.

I received my bachelors from the University of Delaware and then went on to attend the University of Maryland at Baltimore where I earned my Masters in Social Work with a specialty in Clinical Mental Health. I have worked in outpatient, inpatient, and partial hospitalization settings and can assist families in navigating the mental health system.

I have a strong passion for work in the Eating Disorder field. For almost five years, I worked on an Eating Disorder inpatient unit conducting family therapy sessions and facilitating a variety of educational and therapeutic groups for both clients and loved ones. I support HAES (Health at Every Size) framework and the Intuitive Eating guiding principles. I work with many dietitians and psychiatrists outside of my practice in order to support patients with a team approach to treatment. Whether you are struggling with Binge Eating Disorder, Bulimia Nervosa, Anorexia Nervosa, or ARFID I can help you to understand the function of the symptoms you experience and walk beside you on your recovery journey. Sometimes we are not taught to be kind and compassionate to ourselves and instead, are taught to be harsh, critical, and demanding. I can help with the relearning process of getting to know yourself, your needs, and how to provide yourself with the loving care you deserve.

I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families. In addition to my interest in Eating Disorders as described above, I also have experience working with conditions such as Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, OCD, and PTSD.  I do not subscribe to only one therapeutic model; rather, I prefer to use a variety of techniques. I choose to work this way because I find that one size truly does not fit all. Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Family Based Therapy, and Internal Family Systems Therapy are some of the models that I typically use but we would work together to find the one that best suits you.

Please feel free to reach out to me by giving a call or sending me an email.  You can find that information under the Contact page.

Thanks so much for visiting. I look forward to working together soon.

Lisa D'Antonio, LCSW-C

My name is Shelley Searfoss and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW- C). I have been working in the social work field for over 10 years in a variety of settings including residential, in-home, outpatient, and tele-health. I am passionate about helping others and enjoy working with children, families, and adults.

I understand that seeking help can be intimidating and discouraging for many. Negative stress can emerge for various reasons, which can lead to feelings of chronic unhappiness, constant worrying, low self-esteem, anger, shame, guilt and even physical pain. Perhaps you’ve experienced a difficult childhood, troubled relationships, or unexpected life transitions. Therapy can be a supportive way to assist you in navigating through these challenging feelings, beliefs, thoughts and situations that may arise.

My treatment philosophy is integrative, as I believe that each person is unique. The therapeutic alliance is the most essential part of therapy and it is my goal to provide support through listening, empathizing, and empowering your ability to make changes within yourself to meet your desired goals. I have a certificate in Advanced Trauma Treatment and extensive experience working with individuals suffering from anxiety and mood disorders.

I am dedicated in providing a safe space of warmth, acceptance, and authenticity to maximize your opportunity for self-discovery and growth. I invite you to call or email me with any questions or just to see if we might be a good fit! My contact information is under the Contact page.
